Empowerment begins with representation. The Disability Justice & Structural Advocacy for Deaf Youth Advocates booklet highlights how Deaf youth across East and Southern Africa are shaping inclusive futures through leadership, collaboration, and rights‑based advocacy. Implemented by FEDWEN with support from HIVOS, this initiative unites young advocates from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, and South Africa to strengthen disability justice movements and influence structural change.
Through shared experiences and regional cooperation, the project amplifies Deaf voices, builds advocacy capacity, and promotes equitable participation in policy and community development.
